Vuoden 2012 EMN kansallisen seminaari järjestetään 19.10, key note-puhujana Dr. Terri Kim

 

Vuoden 2012 kansallisen seminaarin päivämääräksi on varmistunut 19.10, seminaari järjestetään Helsingissä. Seminaarin tämänvuotinen teema tulee sivuamaan v. 2012 laajan teematutkimuksen "Immigration of International Students to the EU" aihepiiriä. Key note-puhujaksi on varmistunut Dr. Terri Kim Brunelin yliopistosta Iso-Britanniasta. Hän on tutkinut kansainvälistä akateemista liikkuvuutta, toiminut mm. UNESCO:n ja OECD:n konsullttina ja on kansainvälisesti arvostettu koulutuksen ja akateemisen liikkuvuuden asiantuntija. Seminaarin tarkempi ohjelma muotoutuu kevään ja alkukesän aikana ja tiedotamme siitä tulevissa uutiskirjeissämme.

 

Maahanmuuttoviraston uudet verkkosivut julkaistu

 

Maahanmuuttoviraston uudet migri.fi-verkkosivut julkaistiin 6.3. Uudistuksella on tavoiteltu ennen kaikkea parempaa käytettävyyttä jotta asiakkaat löytäisivät hakemansa tiedon vaivattomasti ja nopeasti. Sivustoa rakennettaessa on käytetty avuksi maahanmuuttajataustaista käyttäjäraatia ja suuri osa entisistä teksteistä on pyritty kirjoittamaan uudelleen selkeämpään ja helpommin ymmärrettävään muotoon. Käyttöä helpottaa myös ns. puheversio jolla sivuja voi kuunnella suomeksi, ruotsiksi ja englanniksi. Tietoa virastosta-sivulta löytyy myös EMN-verkoston esittely ja linkitykset emn.fi ja emn.europa.eu-sivuille.

Nearly 25 % more asylum applicants in the EU-27 during the second quarter of 2011, compared with the second quarter of 2010. This represents an increase of about 12 800, or 23 per cent more compared with the second quarter of 2010.
