The Finnish national report for this EMN study discusses the extent to which the special characteristics of the integration of migrant women have been taken into consideration in Finnish integration policy. This study covers women who have moved to Finland from third countries. Protection of Children in Migration in Member States and Norway – Inform

In 2017, the European Commission published a Communication on the protection of children in migration. This sets out actions to reinforce the protection of all third-country national migrant children at all stages of migration to and within the EU, at EU and national levels. This Inform summarises the results of the 2019 Report on the state of implementation of the Communication on the protection of children in migration. It maps the progress made by EU Member States and Norway as regards the recommended actions laid down in the Communication. Unaccompanied Minors Following Status Determination: Approaches in EU Member States and Norway – National Report of Finland

This study examines the situation of unaccompanied minors who have received a positive or negative permit decision in Finland. The study takes a look at the housing, care and integration-related measures provided to unaccompanied minors who have received a positived permit decision. In addition, procedures related to return of minor are examined, as well as how to proceed with those unaccompanied minors who cannot be returned. The study also describes the procedures after minors turn 18. The last section of the study deals with disappearances of minors.

Application of the Temporary Protection Directive (Scope and Registration) – Inform

This inform provides information related to the implementation of the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD), triggered in response to the refugee crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. According to UNHCR, as of 4 May 2022, over 5,7 million Ukrainians (mainly women and children) have left Ukraine in search of safety, primarily arriving in neighbouring EU and third countries (including Moldova). This inform relates to the scope of the Temporary Protection Directive, as well as registration of persons fleeing the war in Ukraine. The analysis in this inform is based on contributions provided by 26 Member States.
