This inform explores displacement and migration related to disasters, climate change and environmental degradation. It aims to complement existing research by providing a broader perspective on how displacement and migration related to disasters, climate change and environmental degradation are being addressed by key national-level initiatives and policies in EMN Member Countries as well as non-EU OECD countries.

This EMN study focuses on the main areas covered by the EU Action plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021-2027 that support the integration of migrant women for example in education and training, employment and skills, health and housing as these are considered by the Action Plan the base for societal integration. The study examines how Member States consider the distinct situation of migrant women in their integration policies and measures.

This inform summarises the results of the EMN study of the same title which aims to close existing research gaps regarding Member States’ approaches to long-term
irregularly staying migrants, in light of rapid changes in policies and practices and the lack of a recent, comprehensive EU-overview for this group.

This joint EMN-OECD inform presents an overview of policies and state-led practices designed to monitor the integration of third-country nationals and compares relevant national legislation in each EMN Member and Observer Country. Drawing on the contributions from 25 EMN Member and Observer Countries, this inform sheds light on the various dimensions of integration – from education and employment to social inclusion and civic participation.

This study looks at the effectiveness of return in Finland. Finnish return policies and practices will be examined in relation to the EU rules and standards. It is stated in the study that return of persons who are residing irregularly in the country is an increasing challenge for Finland. Theobstacles are not, however, directly linked to
the EU rules or standards. On the basis of this study it can be noted that return policies and practices in Finland are effective and to a large extent in line with the EU rules and standards.

The study primarily covers third-country nationals who enter and reside in an EU Member State for the purpose of seasonal work within the framework of the Seasonal Workers Directive. This study reflects the most recent situation and developments in terms of legislation and policy in Member States, largely focussing on 2019. Developments over the past five years are also considered if relevant.

This report maps the progress made by EU Member States and Norway in 2021-2022 in the implementation of the recommended actions laid down in the 2017 Commission Communication on the protection of children in migration, with a view to further understanding progress made in the implementation of the Communication’s recommendations. The scope of this Report is limited to migrant children in the categories set out in the 2017 Communication:  accompanied minors/families with children,  separated children and unaccompanied minors, including those recorded within the asylum system, not applying for asylum but recorded within other migration procedures, and not applying for asylum, who remain outside the asylum/migration/(child) protection system.

This inform explores challenges and good practices to attract and retain international researchers, and analyses the implementation of the Students and Researchers Directive and relevant national policies, schemes and practices in the EU Member States.

This EMN inform maps the challenges faced by applicants and beneficiaries of international protection in accessing autonomous housing and provides a comprehensive overview of how EMN Member Countries and Serbia organise such support for these two groups. It includes an overview of national and regional/local policies and measures supporting the transition and access to autonomous housing, as well as some examples of EU-funded initiatives and national good practices.
